OnePlus has officially debuted the Nord N20 5G smartphone in the United States. It is the latest Nord-series device to become available in the west, a lineup that has already become a hit in India. It is a noticeable upgrade over the Nord N200 5G that launched on T-Mobile last year. Interestingly, the latest model is also exclusive to T-Mobile for the time being.

The OnePlus Nord N20 5G bears a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a punch-hole in the top left corner. The panel is limited to the standard 60Hz refresh rate which the Chinese tech company said it had to do in order to offer AMOLED. It says the phone would have arrived with an IPS LCD panel if they had opted for a 90Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. There is 128GB of onboard storage with support for microSD cards. It is the only configuration option available with the smartphone. The whole package is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, there is a triple camera setup on the back including a 64-megapixel primary sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors (monochrome + macro). The front camera on the smartphone is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

On the front software, the OnePlus Nord N20 5G will boot OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11, an outdated software experience considering Android 12 has been out for over half a year. Other features on the smartphone include a USB Type-C port, in-display fingerprint scanner, and 5G connectivity.

For official pricing and availability, OnePlus has priced the Nord N20 5G at $282 for the sole 6GB/128GB model. It will be sold via T-Mobile starting April 28th in the United States. It can also be grabbed for free if you add a line via 24 months of bill credits. The unlocked variant of the smartphone will become available later this year through Amazon, Best Buy, and more.
