Infinix HOT 12 Play goes official in India today. The latest device comes as a budget entrant in the segment and starts at Rs 8,499. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart, and the sale starts on May 30th in India. Featuring in the cost-effective segment, the HOT 12 Play still has a punch-hole display, 90Hz refresh rate, a massive battery, to name a few.
The Infinix HOT 12 Play is built around a 6.82-inches HD+ display that comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The punch hole screen achieves a peak brightness of 480 nits. It has a 20:5:9 ratio and a 90.66% screen to body ratio. On the back, the smartphone equips a fingerprint sensor and further has a face unlock feature for authentication.
Under the hood, Infinix HOT 12 Play is powered by a Unisoc T1610 SoC that promises clock speeds of up to 1.8GHz and is further accompanied by 4GB of RAM in addition to a 3GB virtual RAM. The smartphone further comes with 64GB of internal storage and supports microSD expansion for up to 256GB.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Infinix HOT 12 Play relies on a dual-camera system wherein a 13MP camera acts as the primary camera coupled with a depth sensor. On the front, the punch hole beholds an 8MP selfie shooter. On the software front, it ships with Android 11-based X OS out of the box.
In terms of battery, the Infinix HOT Play 12 draws power from a massive 6000mAh battery that promises a 10-hour video streaming or 8-hour gaming on a single charge. The other notable features on the smartphone include Game Mode, DTS-HD Surround Sound, OTG support and more. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual 4G, and NFC.
