Lenovo has officially launched a new budget smartphone Lenovo K14 Plus in the Philippines. The biggest highlight of the handset is its huge battery capacity which should last for a day with ease. It is actually the rebranded version of the Motorola Moto E40 that went official globally towards the second half of the last year.
The Lenovo K14 Plus sports a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a punch hole in the center. It is a high refresh rate panel that can go as high as 90Hz. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Unisoc T700 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. It comes with a single 64GB storage option but there is support for microSD cards if more space is needed.
As for the cameras, there is a vertically aligned triple camera setup on the top left side of the smartphone's back. It features a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera on the handset is an 8-megapixel sensor and is housed in the punch-hole for selfies and video calls.
In terms of software, the Lenovo K14 Plus will boot Android 11 OS out of the box with no words on the Android 12 upgrade yet. The battery capacity of the smartphone is 5,000mAh but there is only 10W charging speed support. It further has a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, and IP52 rating for water and dust resistance.
Lenovo has priced the Lenovo K40 Plus at (about $150) for the sole 4GB/64GB model, but for a limited time, will retail for only ($120). The smartphone, which launched globally in October, is exclusively available on Lazada. The handset will be available in Beige and Black color options.
