RYEOWOOK recently made a comeback with the release of Bluebird. The detikcom team was also given the opportunity to chat with the Super Junior member recently. Through 'RYEOWOOK Once Said...' RYEOWOOK told about himself, Super Junior, until Bluebird's comeback. He also reminisced about the early days of joining SM Entertainment.
"When it comes to RYEOWOOK, my father's uncle gave me a beautiful name. That name is not even a stage name, but a nickname," said RYEOWOOK. "You all think it must be a stage name. But Kim RYEOWOOK is my name. It's a good name," he continued. RYEOWOOK also talked about his career as a solo singer.
Apparently, before joining SM Entertainment, he had a dream of becoming a solo singer. "Before joining Super Junior, I dreamed of becoming a solo singer. When I joined SM, at first I wanted to be a solo singer," explained RYEOWOOK. "Label then said that I fit into the Super Junior project. They asked me, 'Do you want to join Super Junior?' Then I said yes.
And I met the members," he added. RYEOWOOK first released a solo album in 2016. In 2022, he returned to greet fans through the third mini album. Although his dream as a solo singer has finally come true, he doesn't want to be called a solo singer. "For me, I'm better called a singer than a solo singer.
There are times when I become a solo singer, there are also times when I become part of a group," said RYEOWOOK. "Because there are advantages and disadvantages, in conclusion I only ever dreamed of becoming a solo singer," he concluded. RYEOWOOK also talked about musicals and covers of Indonesian songs that he had done.
