We have some good news for all the ASTRO fans. The popular K-pop group is preparing in full swing for its much-awaited comeback next month. This news was confirmed on April 5, 2022, according to a music industry official. Did you know that the ASTRO members also met their fans last month through Moonbin & Sanha’s unit activities? Now that the group has confirmed their comeback, fans are eagerly waiting for some super fun music.
It was only last month that Moonbin and Sanha released their second mini-album that was titled, Refugee. Their title song, Who, received a great response from music lovers. Now, the fans are equally excited for ASTRO’s comeback with equally appealing numbers. As we know, each member of ASTRO acts not only as a singer but also as an actor and broadcaster in many fields.
The South Korean boy band ASTRO debuted in 2016 and was formed by Fantagio. The group consists of six members – Jinjin, MJ, Cha Eun Woo, Rocky, Moon Bin, and Yoon Sanha. The group debuted with a single titled Hide & Seek. It was a part of their debut EP titled Spring Up. Billboard also named Astro one of the new K-Pop groups in 2016. Their extended play, Switch On, was released on August 2, followed by the title track, After Midnight.
The group received their first win on August 10 for the same title on The Snow. ASTRO received their second trophy on August 11 for After Midnight on the Snow champion. They subsequently won their third trophy on August 12 on Music Bank. It was ASTRO’s first win on the music show as well as on national broadcast. It was announced on December 27, 2021, that ASTRO members Rocky and Jinjin will be forming the group’s second sub-unit named Jinjin & Rocky.
The duo debuted with the extended play Restore on January 17, 2022. Fantagio Music released a teaser photo at midnight on July 12 last year that hinted at ASTRO’s comeback. Of course, the Aroha could not keep calm! This photo was posted on the group’s official Twitter handle, much to the excitement of the fans. Another moving poster was released on the same day on Twitter as the group announced their upcoming album.
So, did you know the name of ASTRO’s upcoming mini-album? Well, it was called SWITCH ON that made us eagerly wait to switch on our musical vibes. This album was released on August 2, 2021, four months after the group’s last studio album titled All Yours came out in April. The Aroha is now excited for ASTRO’s much-awaited comeback next month that is sure to witness the introduction of some foot-tapping, steady music.
