During his nine-year career, the seven BTS members were inseparable. They always release music together, go through any project together so that they can achieve success together. But in their ninth debut celebration, there was a different conversation. When at the peak of the BTS Fiesta celebrations in previous years they invited ARMY to look back on their career journey, this time BTS revealed their plans for the future as a group and as an individual.

Every year, at the peak of the debut anniversary celebration, the BTS members will sit down together to enjoy dinner while chatting with ARMYs. This time, they expressed their desire to explore more of each other's abilities and decided to take a hiatus as BTS. Each member will focus on their development as individuals through solo projects.

"I've always felt BTS is different from other groups, but the problem with the K=Pop industry and any idol system is that they don't give you time to grow," said RM. "You have to keep producing music and keep doing things," he continued. This decision is certainly not easy for BTS. They are afraid that the hiatus decision will disappoint ARMYs who have been supporting them all this time.

"We continue to think about ARMY no matter what. We want to be a group that fans will always remember. Now, we want to start thinking about what kind of artist each of us wants fans to remember," Jimin explained. "That's why we are going through a difficult path now. We are trying to find our identity and the process is very long and tedious," he added.

But V confirmed, hearing J-Hope's suggestion, that they would get back together one day. And when the members rejoin as BTS, they will show great synergy. "J-Hope talks to me like this. We can focus on each other's solo projects right now, and later, when we get back together as a group, our synergy will be amazing. We will be better than before," said V.

At the end of the video, the BTS members emphasized that this decision was only temporary. Although they are focusing on solo projects, BTS will not disband. "We chatted with each other about the importance of being apart for a while so we knew how to get back together again. And so we knew how important our time together was," explained J-Hope. "This does not mean we will disband! We can be separated for a while," concluded Suga.
