For the third time, BLACKPINK managed to take home the trophy from a music show with their latest song " Shut Down ." This time they got the victory at the Show Champion event which was broadcast on Wednesday September 28, 2022. Show Champion is a music program from South Korea that is broadcast by MBC M every Wednesday at 18.00 KST. The broadcast of this music show was conducted at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan.
In the latest episode hosted by ASTRO's Moonbin and Sanha and NMIXX's Sullyoon as special MCs this time, there were five candidates who were nominated as winners for this week. They are BLACKPINK with “Shut Down,” Crush with “Rush Hour” ( feat. J-Hope BTS), NCT 127 with “2 Baddies,” NMIXX with “DICE,” and ONEUS “Same Scent.” Based on the final announcement, the trophy finally went to BLACKPINK's "Shut Down" with a total of 7,022 points.
The song earned 3,500 points for digital sales. For album sales reached 786 points. Next, BLACKPINK earned 1,736 points from global fan voting. While for SNS get 1,000 points. Then, the broadcast score gets 0 points. Next, NMIXX's "DICE" followed in second place with a total of 4,744 points. The score includes 588 points for digital sales, 639 points for album sales, 611 points for global fan voting, 906 points for SNS, and 2,000 points for broadcast scores.
Then the third place was filled by NCT 127's newest song "2 Baddies" which earned 4,701 points. The score includes 756 points for digital sales, 1,500 points for album sales, 2,000 points for global fan voting, 445 points for SNS, and 0 points for broadcast scores. The fourth position was occupied by Crush with his song "Rush Hour" ( feat. J-Hope BTS) which won a total of 1,361 points.
The score includes 788 points for digital sales, 0 points for album sales, 333 points for global fan voting, 240 points for SNS, and 0 points for broadcast scores. ONEUS's "Same Scent" then followed in fifth place with 1,233 points. The score includes 104 points for digital sales, 3 points for album sales, 50 points for global fan voting, 9 points for SNS, and 1,067 points for broadcast scores.
Meanwhile, this week's latest broadcast of Show Champion was enlivened by performances from various artists, such as NMIXX, ONEUS, Lapillus, Choi Yoojung, mimiirose, MAKAMAKA, PRITTI-G, LUMINOUS, We;Na, Kwon Min Je, YEAHSHINE, and Kang Minjae.
