Little Women leaves the last two episodes. The Korean drama, starring Kim Go Eun to Wi Ha Joon, is one of the favorite dramas currently airing. Even so, this drama received a big protest from the Vietnamese community. This is due to the alleged historical distortion of one of the scenes in episode 8.
In the episode, a war veteran from South Korea is seen boasting about the kill ratio between South Korean troops and Viet Cong (communist soldiers). The war veteran claimed each Korean troop had killed between 20 and 100 Vietnamese soldiers. In his dialogue, the actor called 'Korean troops are heroes of the Vietnam War'.
This sparked the anger of Korean drama lovers in Vietnam. As a result, the Vietnam Electronic Information and Broadcasting Authority (ABEI) requested that Little Women be stopped on Netflix Vietnam. They stated that the scenes discussing the Vietnam War in episodes 3 and 8 were historical deviations and different from the actual truth.
Regarding the controversy, representatives of Studio Dragon, as the production house, spoke up. They promised to be more careful in the future when discussing the history of other countries. "We want to talk about concerns about one of the scenes in Little Women.
We will pay more attention to sensitive social and cultural issues in the production of our content in the future," said Studio Dragon. Little Women is a Korean drama that tells the story of three sisters who grew up in poverty. The trio gets into trouble with one of the richest families in South Korea and is thrown into a world of greed and power they've never known before.
