Netflix has officially brought back one of the horrific Norwegian fairy tales to the big screen which is similar to the film Trollhunter (2010) but with a more interesting premise. In Scandinavian mythology, Trolls are ancient animals in the form of giants who live in the mountains.

This fantasy action genre film is directed by Roar Uthaug who is also behind the Tomb Raider and The Wave films. Troll is produced by Espen Horn and Kristian Strand Sinkerud, who previously worked with Netflix on Cadaver. The audience will be taken to follow the tension of the rise of the Trolls that can threaten human life. To treat your curiosity a little, here 's a synopsis and cast of the Troll film.

The film Trolls was originally set in a peaceful rural area in the mountains where an elderly couple lived. Suddenly an unexpected big disaster happened, they managed to take shelter underground. But when they tried to look outside, they were surprised because almost half of the house exploded as a result of the incident. Then they noticed a very large footprint in his yard.

Officials and experts came to the crime scene, they also asked for help from a famous archaeologist named Nora to uncover the case. After a thorough investigation, experts are still unable to determine the cause of the giant footprints that created the large crater on the ground. Then Nora and other researchers dig further into the case and head to the mountains of Dovre to look for clues. 

However, they did not realize that they had entered the nest of the mythological beast. The researchers' journey on the mountain ended with the rise of a thousand-year-old giant sleeping there. With the appearance of a Troll threatening the safety of the citizens, the teams that find it want to exterminate it before it annihilates humanity.

Troll stars top actor Ine Marie Wilmann as a famous archaeologist named Nora. Kim Falck plays the role of Andreas, an official member of the Norwegian agency.
