The South Korean drama Island stars a number of famous players, from Kim Nam Gil, Lee Da Hee, to Cha Eun Woo. The storyline adds to the audience's curiosity because it raises a legendary myth from Jeju Island, South Korea. Island is an adaptation of the manhwa by the writing duo Yoo In Wan and Yang Kyun Il which was released in 2016.

The South Korean actor transforms into an immortal being that is considered a combination of monsters and humans. Lee Da Hee plays Won Mi Ho, a teacher and daughter of the conglomerate heir to the Daehan Group who has a secret power. Mi Ho came to Jeju Island to practice discipline without knowing the danger that awaited him.
When attacked by monsters on Jeju Island, he starts meeting with Pan. Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo plays the role of a Catholic priest as well as the world's youngest exorcist named John. Her character travels to Jeju Island due to a call from the gods and since then starts to get involved with Pan and Won Mi Ho.
The South Korean drama Island also features Sung Joon who plays Goong Tan. He was raised to fight crime with Pan. However, after going through a major event, Goong Tan began to oppose Pan and made the Korean Island drama story even more tense.
