Right on Tuesday February 14, 2023, BTS's RM not only surprised fans, but also felt frantic because the singer of "Wild Flower" was found to have suddenly deleted hundreds of posts on his personal Instagram page. Launching Koreaboo, according to fans who witnessed the deletion process, RM deleted posts one by one on his Instagram and left 12 of the 130 posts that were originally on his Instagram profile.
After deleting more than a hundred photos, RM returned to uploading another series of photos consisting of several new photos and several photos he had previously uploaded on Instagram stories, making his posts now a total of 13. Of RM's thirteen posts currently available, 10 are related to his debut solo album, "Indigo," one of which is a portrait of him traveling with his friend, John Eun.
While the other two posts that remain are a set of photos of him with the crew "The Dictionary Of Useless Human Knowledge" and the last is a series of random photos that he just uploaded. RM himself is one of the most active BTS members in providing fans with the latest news through various uploads on Instagram. As per his Instagram username, @rkive (pronounced archive) is an archive of RM's daily life behind the scenes.
So, the loss of hundreds of RM posts certainly makes fans feel sad. Although some fans felt lost and sad, others wondered if this was RM's way of announcing big upcoming news, as musicians usually do delete their social media accounts to announce new albums or projects that they will be working on. RM himself once mentioned that he was working on a new project after "Indigo," so fans started speculating that he might be on to something.
However, this event may remind us of Jungkook BTS who also did something similar. In May last year Jungkook actually emptied his Instagram page. At that time, fans also panicked and worried that Jungkook's Instagram account would be hacked because his Instagram posts were gradually disappearing.
However, the next day the idol was quick to explain that the reason he deleted all of his photos was because he just wanted to spruce up his Instagram look. That way, besides the possibility of a new project that he wants to tell fans about, RM's reason for deleting hundreds of his photos may be as simple as Jungkook's reason, namely to improve and beautify his Instagram appearance.
Regardless of the reasons that prompted the BTS leader to delete almost all posts on his social media, fortunately, there are several fan accounts that often archive all posts made by BTS members. Because of that, other BTS fans don't need to worry because the memories on Instagram of the BTS members won't really disappear forever!
