SUGA Becomes the First BTS Member to Hold a World Solo Concert Tour, There's Jakarta

Good news has come for ARMY (BTS fans) because one of their members, SUGA, will be holding a concert tour around the world. This news was delivered directly via the official Twitter account @BIGHIT_MUSIC on Tuesday night February 14, 2023. SUGA is the first member of BTS, a boy band from South Korea to hold a world solo concert tour. 

The world's first concert from SUGA took the title of its own name, titled SUGA | AUGUST D TOUR. The 29-year-old rapper will visit the United States, Korea, Japan, Asia including Indonesia in his world tour series. This shocking and happy news was welcomed by fans. They flocked to liven up their tweets on Twitter using the hashtags #SUGA_AgustD_TOUR #SUGA_AgustD_Jakarta. 

Especially for SUGA's solo concerts in Asia, he will hold performances in Jakarta for three consecutive days from 26 to 28 May 2023 which will take place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD). Other neighboring countries included in SUGA's concert schedule include Bangkok on 10-11 June 2023 at the Impact Arena and Singapore on 17-18 June 2023 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. 

However, fans in Indonesia need to be patient because until this writing there is no further information regarding when ticket sales will open. The promoter iMe Indonesia via its Twitter account asks fans to keep abreast of the latest information that will be released soon. 

BTS itself was last recorded as holding a concert in Indonesia in 2017, which was titled Trilogy Episode III The Wings Tour 2017. Then in June 2022, BTS announced a hiatus as a group. The seven BTS members then chose to focus on their respective solo projects, including Jin who is currently undergoing military service. 

SUGA's presence in Indonesia certainly brings fresh air for fans to let go of ARMY's longing. SUGA made his debut as a solo singer by releasing his first mixtape, Agust D, in 2016. This was followed by the release of his second mixtape, D-2, in 2020. SUGA has also collaborated with other artists including ØMI and PSY. So, how is it? Are you ready to meet SUGA?
