Surprising fans, Kim Jae Hwan will make a comeback by releasing the album Spring Breeze on March 20, 2023. Through his social media account on Monday March 13, 2023, Kim Jae Hwan released a comeback poster for his latest album. The released poster features the glow of warm sunlight indicating that the spring song will be released soon.

Through the album 'Spring Breeze' this time, Kim Jae Hwan plans to evoke the atmosphere of the coming spring. Kim Jae Hwan's melodious voice and sweet emotions are expected to stimulate spring nostalgia. An official from the agency Swing Entertainment said, “ Kim Jae Hwan, who has been going through constant change and growth, has put a lot of effort into releasing this album 'Spring Breeze', ” quoted from South Korean media Newsen .

Album details have also been shared by the agency along with the comeback announcement. Kim Jae Hwan will also be holding a fan signing event for his album release this time. The former Wanna One member will be releasing a new album after 6 months since the release of his last album. Kim Jae Hwan released his 5th mini album ' Empty Dream ' in September 2022.

The song 'Back Then' is the main song on the Empty Dream album. In the song, Kim Jae Hwan describes the feeling of longing for an ex after a breakup who reminisces about the time together. Previously, Kim Jae Hwan participated in the survival event Mnet 'Produce 101 Seasons 2' in 2017. 

He then made it to the debut list and became a member of Wanna One from 2017 to 2018. After being with Wanna One, Kim Jae Hwan continued his solo career and debuted on May 20 2019. Kim Jae Hwan debuted by releasing the album 'Another' with 'Begin Again' as the main song. His extraordinary vocals brought Kim Jae Hwan to be chosen as an OST for several dramas. 

Among them are 'Black Sky' OST drama Chief of Staff, 'If I was' OST drama Vagabond, and 'Someday' OST drama Crash Landing on You.
