Quoting from the Soompi, on Monday April 3, 2023, at midnight KST, Suga announced his plans to return with his first official solo album “'D-DAY' later this month. 'D-DAY' is the album that marks the end of the Agust D trilogy (three-part series) following the mixtapes 'Agust D' (2016) and 'D-2' (2020) which Suga previously released as Agust D.
According to Starnews and Soompi, Suga was in charge of not only writing lyrics and composing all the songs, but also producing the album, and leading the entire work from planning to concept and composition of 'D-DAY', telling his honest story. Starting with the announcement of the album release, Suga plans to release various contents of 'D-DAY' in his own color, and will also release a pre-release song on the 7th.
Suga plans to hold various events to visit fans in person around the world with this solo album. Suga who was very disappointed because it was difficult to meet fans in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. He arranges such places to communicate more closely with fans, such as video calls and small fan meetings.
After the release of 'D-DAY', Suga embarked on a world tour 'SUGA | August D-DAY TOUR' will be held.
