BIGBANG's Taeyang is confirmed to be making a comeback by releasing a solo album. He also invited a BLACKPINK member to collaborate on a song. Quoted from OSEN, BLACKPINK's Lisa is said to be collaborating with Taeyang for his latest album.
Based on the report, Lisa will not only collaborate on singing a song but will also appear in the video clip for the song. Regarding this news, Taeyang's agency THE BLACK LABEL opened its voice. They confirmed the news about Lisa and Taeyang's collaboration, and revealed the album's release schedule.
"BLACKPINK's Lisa will collaborate on Taeyang's new album. The album is planned to be released in April," said THE BLACK LABEL. Previously, Taeyang had released the latest single and collaborated with Jimin BTS in January 2023. They released the song VIBE and immediately topped the domestic and international charts.
However, there are still no details regarding the genre of the song or the title of the album and collaboration that will be released by Taeyang. Meanwhile, Taeyang debuted in 2006 as a member of BIGBANG. Two years later, the owner of the real name Dong Young Bae made his solo debut by releasing his first EP titled Hot.
Taeyang last released a solo album in 2017 through White Night. After that, he was preoccupied with military service and his marriage to Min Hyo Rin.This will be Taeyang's first solo album to be released after moving management from YG Entertainment to THE BLACK LABEL.
