More than a year has passed since the controversy that befell NCT's Lucas, causing the idol from Hong Kong to take a hiatus from group activities. There was no news at all, recently Lucas has slowly reappeared by uploading random things via his personal Instagram account.
Even recently Lucas appeared on the reality show NCT welcome to NCT Universe, although there has been no definite statement about his future with the K-Pop group that houses him. The most recent upload to the idol's personal Instagram account, whose real name is Wong Yuk-hei, is in the form of several photos that are assumed to be a training studio uploaded on February 27.
In February this year, there were also speculations that Lucas might return to his activities after SM Entertainment CEO Lee Sung Soo uploaded a picture on his Instagram with a series of photos of him and Lucas sitting in the SM building section. As if he was really preparing something to present to the world, on April 11, Lucas uploaded a video of himself practicing dancing with one other person who could not be identified through his Instagram account.
Quoting Koreaboo, some believe that the person who danced with Lucas was choreographer Sooram and could be another sign that Lucas is preparing to rejoin NCT in active promotions. Like most comments from Lucas's few uploads during his hiatus, people's reactions to the possible return of the WayV member have been mixed.
Many fans are excited about Lucas' latest upload because they can't wait for the idol to actually return to his activities. However, some people also felt unhappy to see Lucas return to this industry and didn't really like seeing Lucas' updates on his Instagram account. Some of the comments on certain Instagram posts about the video were pretty harsh.
