WayV's Ten and his groupmate, Yangyang, recently guested on a variety show program hosted by Eric Nam titled 'Daebak Show'. On this occasion, the two of them talked a lot about the current younger generation, until the first time they started their careers as idols. In particular, Ten shared his experience when he first auditioned for SM Entertainment back in 2014.

Quoting from the Dive Studio YouTube channel on Wednesday April 12, 2023, Ten surprisingly revealed that it was his grandmother who moved his heart to learn dance, so he seriously pursued this field after watching the film 'Step Up'. “At first my grandma told me if I wanted to try dancing.

Then, I started learning dance after seeing the movie 'Step Up,'” said Ten. The Thai idol continued, “In 2014 I auditioned at SM Entertainment. I sang Jessie J's 'Price Tag,' but then they asked me to sing a Korean song.” Because he didn't know Korean songs, Ten then chose the song 'Gangnam Style' which was very popular at that time for his audition. “

At the time I didn't know any other Korean songs so I asked 'Can I sing Gangnam Style? But I have to sing it acoustically for you guys'. After singing it, they just said 'OK, see you later,'” explained Ten. Because of this answer, Ten felt pessimistic and thought that he had failed the audition.

Luckily one week later Ten got a call from SM Entertainment and they asked him to come to South Korea. Since then, Ten's new journey begins. Ten, who started his dream from his grandmother's offer to pursue dance, and diligently studied dance after watching the film 'Step Up' is now an idol known for his impressive dance skills.

Not only good at dancing, Ten is also known to have beautiful vocals and is one of the vocalists in his group. Ten made his debut with the unit NCT U in 2016 through the song '7th Sense'. He then debuted for the second and third time in 2019 with WayV and SuperM.
