South Korean girl group formed by ADOR, NewJeans is rumored to be ready for a comeback this summer. Danielle, Haerin, Hanni, Minji, and Hyein are currently in Portugal shooting for their latest music video. ADOR management has not officially announced the news of this comeback.
However, some time ago the South Korean media had reported that NewJeans would be releasing a new song sometime in late June or early July. Following the success of several previous NewJeans tracks such as OMG, a similar concept is said to be presented again. Fans in Portugal had the opportunity to see from a distance the process of shooting NewJeans' new MV.
Some of them uploaded photos to social media and voiced their excitement for NewJeans' new song this summer. NewJeans' popularity is currently stable as one of the latest generation K-Pop groups. Their songs such as Ditto and Hype Boy are still occupying the top spots on various domestic charts in South Korea. The OMG NewJeans MV also recently broke 100 million views on YouTube.
NewJeans reached a viewership figure of over 100 million views for this OMG MV in 4 months and 10 days. This is the new record and NewJeans' second best-selling MV to be watched on the platform after the Hype Boy performance video. On the other hand, Danielle was lined up to be the voice actor for Ariel, the Korean dubbing version of the life action film The Little Mermaid.
Not only will she voice the dialogues, Danielle will also sing all the songs performed by Halle Bailey. Disney Korea released Danielle's teaser video for The Little Mermaid. In the short duration video, fans can listen to footage of Danielle singing the Korean version of the song Part of Your World.
Previously, leaks from this video had circulated on social media and received various reactions. "Danielle will play Ariel and show a different side of herself by voicing and singing the original soundtrack of the film The Little Mermaid," said the Walt Disney Company Korea in its official statement.
"We can look forward to Danielle, who is the same age as Ariel in the film and has a similar bubbly image, to bring out Ariel's playful and curious teenage charms," they continued. Several photos of Danielle were also released by Disney Korea. Showing the Ditto singer wearing a sparkling outfit the same color as the live action version of the mermaid fins. Her hair looks loose with a distinctive coral-colored earrings.
