NCT's Mark got the opportunity to show his talent through his latest solo song. Today, Thursday, March 30, 2023, SM Entertainment announced he will be releasing his second solo song titled Golden Hour. On Wednesday, March 29,2023, another NCT member, Jaemin uploaded some of Mark's shots.
It was revealed that Jaemin visited the set of Golden Hour to support Mark. On the same day, Mark uploaded footage showing him dancing while Jaemin stood facing behind the camera. The song is part of SM Station: NCT Lab, a program created by SM Entertainment to showcase the vocals and abilities of NCT members.
Previously, Mark released Child which is part of NCT Lab in February 2022. Mark was one of the NCT members who participated both in front of and behind the scenes. He is known to work on many songs for his group and other musicians. This year he wrote one of the songs for Super Junior's Yesung and NCT 127.
This solo song is Mark's latest project in between his busy life as a member of NCT 127 and NCT Dream. With NCT 127, he completed a world tour across different continents and released an Ay-Yo repackaged album. While with NCT Dream, Mark is currently on a European tour for The Dream Show 2: In a Dream concert.
They also debuted in Japan with their first single, Best Friend Ever and did a number of promotions. This news was welcomed by NCT fans where they flocked to support Mark by writing #MarkLee2ndSolo hashtags as well as showing enthusiasm for the idol's latest work. As for NCT's Mark's new song, Golden Hour will be released digitally on April 7, 2023.
