K-pop group NCT will explore their solo debut. Taeyong is confirmed to be the first member of the group to make a solo album this year. Before debuting with NCT, Taeyong was already known as a member of SM Rookies, a trainee group from SM Entertainment. He has also collaborated with Red Velvet for the song Be Natural. Taeyong released his first solo song Long Flight through the SM Station project in 2019.
He showed his songwriting skills for NCT and several units. In 2021, Taeyong created a SoundCloud account and released several demos of songs such as Dark Clouds, GTA2, Blue, Rose, Monroe, and Swimming Pool.
His voice has also filled the soundtracks of dramas such as Hotel del Luna and School 2017. Taeyong's name is increasingly reckoned with in the music industry after the song he wrote entered the Billboard 200 music chart. This news received enthusiasm from NCTzen or NCT fans.
