South Korean girl group BB GIRLS, formerly known as Brave Girls, is rumored to be making a comeback this summer. On Friday July 7, 2023, Warner Music Korea as the BB Girls agency confirmed this. "BB GIRLS will be releasing new music in early August 2023.
We ask for your attention because this is the first music that BB GIRLS will release with Warner Music Korea ," the agency said as quoted by Soompi on Friday July 7, 2023. This past April, all the members of Brave Girls signed exclusive contracts with Warner Music Korea after parting ways with their previous agency, Brave Entertainment.
They did not have an agency for a while after their contract with Brave Entertainment ended in February. In connection with Brave Entertainment which owns the trademark rights for the group name Brave Girls, the members must change the group name so that in the future the group's promotions are not disrupted.
The members chose a new group name after much deliberation, and chose something that would both maintain the group's identity and be something that would be remembered by the public. Furthermore, Warner Music Korea announced that Brave Girls changed the group name to BB GIRLS to make a fresh start.
The members insist on sticking together even though they have changed agencies. Therefore, it is hoped that this comeback will be even more meaningful for their fans. BB GIRLS, originally named Brave Girls, is a girl group formed by Brave Brothers through Brave Entertainment in 2011.
They debuted in April 2011 with the single album "The Difference". Their names have skyrocketed since releasing the song "Rollin" in 2017. BB GIRLS is a girl group consisting of four members, namely Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji and Yuna.
They had discussed the upcoming comeback through an interview with 1st Look Magazine. In the interview, BB GIRLS revealed that they had contributed in contributing ideas for their latest album so they enjoyed the process from the start.
