BTS' Jungkook, will start his solo career on the international stage on Friday July 14, 2023. He will be performing his latest solo song, " SEVEN ", at the Good Morning America 's 2023 Summer Concert Series in Central Park, New York. Reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily on Saturday July 9, 2023, the summer concert will take place right on the date of the solo song's release.
His appearance will make Jungkook BTS make their first appearance as a soloist after 10 years of always being on stage with the other six BTS members. Jungkook's solo schedule was previously confirmed by Bighit Music as the agency that oversees BTS.
Through Weverse, Bighit revealed that the man born in 1997 would be releasing a summer song titled "SEVEN" as well as starting a series of Jungkook's solo activities ahead of the release of his debut album. "We are happy to inform you about the release of SEVEN, Jungkook BTS' digital solo digital single.
SEVEN will be released July 14, 2023 at 13.00 KST (11.00 WIB)," wrote BigHit Music on Weverse. "SEVEN" is known to be a summer song that allows fans to feel another charm from the musician whose real name is Jeon Jung Kook. Jungkook also hopes that "SEVEN" can bring a perfect summer atmosphere to his listeners.
"As Jungkook begins his official solo activities, we ask you to provide maximum anticipation and support for his digital single and many other activities to come," continued BigHit Music on Weverse. Recently, Bighit Music also uploaded a short 47-second video that shows the behind-the-scenes process when Jungkook recorded the song "SEVEN" in Los Angeles.
This invited the enthusiasm of the fans who are usually nicknamed ARMY. The song "SEVEN" itself comes about seven months after Jungkook performed the song "Dreamers" for the 2022 World Cup. Previously, Jungkook had collaborated with Charlie Puth on the song "Left & Right" in 2022.
Jungkook has also released solo songs several times through songs titled "Begin", "Euphoria", "My Time", and "Dreamers". However, "SEVEN" will be his first solo song project to actually be released for his own album as a soloist, outside of albums with BTS.
