The film Knives Out 3 or what is now officially titled Wake Up Dead Man has attracted a number of new players. The film, which stars Daniel Craig again as detective Benoit Blanc, is planned for release on Netflix in 2025.

After the huge success of Knives Out in 2019 and its sequel Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery in 2022, Rian Johnson returns as writer and director for the third film. According to a report from Deadline on Wednesday May 29, 2024, Josh O'Connor, Cailee Spaeny, and Andrew Scott were confirmed as joining the cast of the film Knives Out 3 or Wake Up Dead Man, but the characters they play are still unknown.

Production on the film will begin in the next few weeks, with additional cast announcements likely in the near future. The two Knives Out films  featured big names and up-and-coming actors, and Wake Up Dead Man looks to follow this pattern. Andrew Scott has enjoyed a period of great success in his career over the past year. 

She received critical acclaim in Netflix's Ripley , which is expected to earn her an Emmy nomination in the upcoming awards season. Apart from that, Andrew Scott also received high appreciation for his work in the film All Of Us Strangers from Searchlight. Previously, Andrew starred opposite Daniel Craig in the 2015 James Bond film Specter. 

Josh O'Connor came into the spotlight after playing the younger version of Prince Charles in seasons 3 and 4 of Netflix's The Crown . This role successfully won him an Emmy award. Recently, Josh O'Connor was also highlighted through his role in the romantic drama Challengers, which also starred Zendaya. 

Additionally, Josh has appeared in Emma, God's Own Country , and Lee. On the other hand, Cailee Spaeny's popularity as a Hollywood actress is slowly starting to soar. After roles in Bad Times at the El Royale , On the Basis of Sex , and Mare of Easttown, he was then cast as the lead in Sofia Coppola's biopic Priscilla.
