Youssef was proven to be an international fraudster who tricked them out of large sums of money.

The first season of Worst Roommate Ever was a huge success with a total of 78.67 million hours watched worldwide and was in Netflix's global top 10 for two consecutive weeks. The series also received high ratings from Nielsen with more than 26.47 million hours broadcast.
