The latest Korean drama by SBS entitled ' Connection ' has released a glimpse of Kim Min Ju's character ahead of its premiere. 'Connection' is a drama that carries the crime thriller genre. This drama is a collaboration between director Lee Tae Gon and screenwriter Lee Hyun, who previously worked together on the drama 'Diary of a Prosecutor'.
'Connection' tells the story of a detective named Jang Jae Kyung who is highly respected and a mainstay in the narcotics unit who has strong principles. However, he was framed and became a drug addict. Jang Jae Kyung will later become involved with Oh Yoon Jin, a local reporter who works at the Anhyeon Economic Daily newspaper.
She has a firm personality and says things matter-of-factly. Before working at the Anhyeon Economic Daily newspaper, Oh Yoon Jin was fired from his previous job because of his outspoken personality. She also decided to focus on reporting corruption cases.
In 'Connection', Kim Min Ju plays Oh Yoon Jin when she was young and in high school. The preview photo released via Instagram @sbsdrama.official on Friday May 17, 2024 shows Oh Yoon Jin on his first day at the school he just moved to. Kim Min Ju perfectly plays Oh Yoon Jin, a high school student who is bright and cheerful, and speaks her mind without hesitation.
"In 'Connection', Kim Min Ju displays a bold side and unique charm that has never been seen before, revealing her strong presence in every scene she appears," said the production team as quoted by Soompi on May 17, 2024. Kim Min Ju is a former member of the girl group IZ*ONE. Previously, she starred in the dramas 'Tempted' and 'The Forbidden Marriage', as well as the feature film 'The Fault Is Not Yours'.
Meanwhile, the drama 'Connection' will premiere starting May 24, every Friday and Saturday at 22.00 KST. Apart from Kim Min Ju, this drama also features well-known actors and actresses, such as Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do, Kwon Yool, Kim Kyung Nam, Jung Soon Won, Yoon Na Moo, and many more.
