Kang Daniel has announced the end of his tenure with KONNECT Entertainment, the agency he founded five years ago. Some time ago, it was revealed that Kang Daniel had filed criminal complaints against the main shareholder of KONNECT Entertainment on charges of embezzlement, breach of trust, fraud, and more.
Recently, Kang Daniel personally shared that his journey with KONNECT Entertainment has ended, via his Instagram account. " Half of this year has passed. When the weather suddenly got hotter, I realized how quickly time passed, " wrote Kang Daniel in his upload as quoted from Soompi June 9, 2024.
He added, " My journey with KONNECT, which has been my home for the past five years and also taught me responsibility, has come to an end. " Furthermore, Kang Daniel also admitted that he was grateful and expressed his gratitude to all employees and everyone who had managed the KONNECT agency with him.
" Even though I feel sad and sorry to end this journey with bad news, I plan to live it calmly and diligently, as I always do. I will also use this time to reflect on how to create a better future, " he added. Finally, Kang Daniel promised DANITY (Kang Daniel's fandom) that he would stay by their side and work hard to make his fans happy. He also asked fans not to worry too much.
Previously, it was reported that around 20 KONNECT Entertainment employees had been laid off or resigned, and the company's vehicles had also been removed some time ago. It was also revealed that the KONNECT agency office located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was cleaned earlier this year. Kang Daniel founded Konnect Entertainment in June 2019 as his personal agency.
Over the past five years, he served as CEO and artist under the label, releasing several albums, such as 'Color on Me', 'MAGENTA', and 'YELLOW'. Although it started as Kang Daniel's sole agency, he later recruited artists such as Chancellor, former GFriend member Yuju, and dance crew, WE DEM BOYZ, to work together.
