Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic revealed that Sony Pictures has reportedly started the process of searching for an actor to play Miles Morales in the live action version.
However, there is no further information regarding which film will feature Miles Morales. There are theories being discussed regarding the next Spider-Man film , namely Beyond the Spider-Verse . The theory mentions the possibility that the film will incorporate elements from the live action universe , meaning real-world Spider-Man characters could appear in the story.
Apart from that, this film could also be an independent production from Sony Pictures or even be part of Avengers: Secret Wars which involves the multiverse from Marvel Studios. Recently, there has been a lot of talk about the possibility of Miles Morales appearing in a live action film.
The cast and crew of Sony's Spider-Man Universe supported the character appearing in that context. Amy Pascal as the producer of Spider-Verse actively voiced this idea, but she also stated that this possibility would only be realized after the current animated Spider-Verse trilogy was completed.
