BTS's Jin is reportedly participating in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, where he will run while carrying the torch of peace representing South Korea. On July 2, 2024, Dispatch exclusively reported that Jin will be participating as a torchbearer in the Summer Olympics torch relay to be held in Paris on July 27, 2024 Korean time.
He plans to leave for France soon, but the exact date and location have not been announced. Jin will begin his full-fledged activities after being discharged from the military. He has confirmed his participation in the Paris Olympic torch relay and his appearance on MBC's 'It's Good to Get a Good Rest'.
He also revealed that he is working on a new music project. The Paris Olympic flame was lit in Greece and arrived in France last month. It will pass through some 400 mainland towns and cities. It will arrive at the opening ceremony on July 27 after traveling some 12,000 km.
The number of torchbearers in the Olympic torch relay is known to be around 11,000 people. They include people from various professions, including Jean and Didier Drogba (football), Tony Park (basketball), Nazi concentration camp survivors, Nice bombing victims, astronauts, and sanitation workers.
