Geum Sae Rok has been officially confirmed to star in the latest Korean drama titled ' Iron Family '. Quoting from Soompi on Thursday July 18, 2024, KBS2 station announced that the actress will be the female lead in the drama. 'Iron Family' tells the story of a family that has run a laundry business called Cheongryeom Laundry for three generations.
One day, they get a surprising amount of money that they can realize their dreams without worry. Geum Sae Rok will play Lee Da Rim, the youngest daughter of the family that owns Cheongryeom Laundry which is run by three generations. Lee Da Rim has been suffering from an incurable disease, which has gradually narrowed her vision since she was 14 years old.
After turning 30, Lee Da Rim lost her sight completely. Despite having a visual impairment. However, Lee Da Rim is a brave and confident person. She miraculously finds a cure for her illness, but she is frustrated because the cost of treatment is very expensive.
One day, Lee Da Rim meets Seo Kang Joo (played by Kim Jung Hyun), who shares unforgettable memories with her. They once studied at the same university. Geum Sae Rok is known as an actress with solid acting skills. She previously starred in 'Youth of May', 'The Interest of Love', 'Class of Lies', 'Joseon Exorcist', and many more.
'Iron Family' is Geum Sae Rok's comeback drama after previously successfully starring in 'Soundtrack 2'. Previously, actors Kim Jung Hyun and INFINITE's Sungyeol were also confirmed to star in 'Iron Family'. Kim Jung Hyun plays Seo Kang Joo, the managing director of Jiseung Group, while Sungyeol plays Choi Hyung Chul, a lieutenant at the Cheongrim Police Station.
Additionally, Choi Tae Joon and Yang Hye Ji are reported to be starring in the drama, raising anticipation even further. The screenplay for 'Iron Family' is written by Seo Sook Hyang who previously worked on 'Pasta', 'Jealousy Incarnate', and 'Wok of Love'. The drama is scheduled to premiere in September as a sequel to 'Beauty and Mr. Romantic'.
