Lee Joo Myung was recently cast to star in the latest Korean drama titled ' My Youth '. Responding to the report, YG Entertainment as Lee Joo Myung's agency confirmed that the actress received an offer to star in the drama and is still in the discussion stage.

"Lee Joo Myung has received an offer to appear in 'My Youth' and is currently reviewing it," YG Entertainment said as quoted by Soompi on Thursday July 18, 2024. 'My Youth' will tell the story of Seon Woo Hae and Sung Je Yeon, who reunite after 15 years and live passionately while struggling with their respective lives.

The drama is written by Park Si Hyun, who previously worked on 'Run On' and 'The Very Rose', while the director is Lee Sang Yeop, who previously worked on 'Yumi's Cells', 'A Piece of Your Mind', 'Familiar Wife', and 'Shopping King Louis'. 

Previously, Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee were revealed to be in talks for the drama, raising anticipation. Making her debut in 2016, Lee Joo Myung began acting in Yang Da Il's music video 'Don't Leave'. Since then, her desire to act grew stronger, and she starred in the television drama 'My Fellow Citizens' in 2019. 

After 5 years of acting, this actress, who was born on December 1, 1993, has been cast in a number of popular Korean dramas , including 'Hospital Playlist', 'Missing: The Other Side', 'Kairos', 'Check Out the Event', 'Twenty Five Twenty One', and 'Family: The Unbreakable Bond'.

If Lee Joo Myung accepts the offer to star in 'MY YOUTH', this will be his comeback on the small screen after previously successfully starring in the drama 'Like Flower in Sand' in 2023. Currently, Lee Joo Myung is preparing for the release of his big screen film titled 'Pilot', which will be released on July 31.
