South Korean boy group known as DSP Media, MIRAE has reportedly disbanded after 3 years of debut. On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, an exclusive report from TV Report said, MIRAE will end their journey together. Son Dong Pyo will continue activities with DSP Media as a solo artist, while the other six members have decided not to continue the contract.
The six members are Lien, Lee Jun Hyuk, Yoo Dou Hyun, Khael, Park Si Young, and Jang Yu Bin. The news about the boy group's disbandment has been confirmed by DSP Media via their official fancafe. According to a statement from the agency, the company and MIRAE decided to terminate the contract after long discussions.
"After long discussions, the company and MIRAE have decided to end group activities," DSP Media said. "Although group activities are ending, Son Dong Pyo will remain with the company for his individual activities," he continued. DSP Media also expressed their gratitude to fans who always support MIRAE.
The agency hopes that the members will receive support for their future activities. For additional information, MIRAE debuted on March 17, 2021 by releasing their first mini album titled Killa. Before disbanding, MIRAE released a Japanese album in February 2024. This age tends to be shorter than the average K-Pop group, which has an average contract of 7 years.
However, suspicions that MIRAE had disbanded had already emerged some time ago. On June 27, 2024, they announced that the DearU Bubble service for MIRAE will end on July 25, 2024. MIRAE also expressed its gratitude to DearU Bubble users. In less than 2 weeks, speculation that MIRAE would disband turned out to be true. MIRAE officially disbanded just three years after their debut in March 2021.
