On Monday July 312023, SM Entertainment officially announced the agency's plans to debut a new seven-member boy group called RIIZE this fall. The name “RIIZE” is a combination of the words “ rise ”, which means “to grow”, and “ realize ”, which means “to achieve”.
The name encapsulates the meaning of a team that grows and realizes shared dreams. RIIZE will also present their unique genre, Emotional Pop, where they express various emotions through music.
On Tuesday August 1, 2023, SM Entertainment finally revealed the seven members of the boy group RIIZE through the Instagram account @riize_official. Not only photos and videos, SM Entertainment also uploaded the profiles of each member. Let's take a peek at who the seven members of RIIZE are below.
1. Shotaro
Shotaro is a former member of the boy group NCT who will debut again with RIIZE. The owner of the nickname Taro was born on November 25, 2000 and is currently 22 years old. In his individual profile uploaded via Instagram Stories, Shotaro has a dream of holding a world tour, and he can't wait to greet his fans with RIIZE.
2. Eunseok
Eunseok was born on March 19, 2001 and is currently 22 years old. He has the nickname Silver Stone and loves basketball. Eunseok wrote "sky diving" as a bucket list in his individual profile.
3. Sungchan
Just like Shotaro, Sungchan is a former member of the boy group NCT. He was born on September 13, 2001 and is currently 21 years old. The owner of the nickname Jinsu is very fond of music and likes to wear cargo pants. On his wish list, Sungchan wrote "Billboard Hot 100". He wants to top the chart together with the members of RIIZE.
4. Wonbin
Won Bin was born on March 2, 2002 and is currently 21 years old. He has an amazing appearance and guitar playing skills. He claims to love shopping and his favorite thing is dogs.
5. Seunghan

7. Anton
Anton is currently 19 years old, and he has attracted attention since a young age as the son of famous singer Yoon Sang. He has an extraordinary sense of music and can compose songs.
