Actress Jo Aram recently talked about how she got into character in the new Korean drama titled ' The Auditors '. The tvN drama tells the story of an audit team at JU Construction, where corruption is rampant. Jo Aram plays Yoon Seo Jin, a new employee on JU Construction's audit team who has a rational side.
She is known for her striking appearance, as well as her intelligence and confident attitude. Yoon Seo Jin takes great pride in her precise and efficient work. Although she excels professionally, she maintains her attitude in front of her superiors and coworkers.
"I was attracted to the unique narrative of an audit team at a construction company. When I first saw Yoon Seo Jin's character, she seemed cold on the outside, but I felt like she was someone with depth and strong determination," said Jo Aram as quoted by Soompi on July 1, 2024.
She added, "I was fascinated by those aspects, so I wanted to express this character well.” Jo Aram describes Yoon Seo Jin's character with three keywords, namely precise, tsundere (having a cold demeanor but actually warm and caring), and persistent. “Seo Jin is someone who is perfect at her job and is careful not to reveal her true feelings to others.
She is intelligent and makes rational judgments rather than emotional judgments,” she said. She added, "She faced difficulties and trials with courage, persistently overcoming them without giving up.” Next, Jo Aram shared her preparations for playing a meticulous character like Yoon Seo Jin.
"Since Seo Jin works in the audit team which is a professional department, I searched for many related books to learn accounting and audit theory. Since this is a rookie role, I focused on understanding how the company works and the tasks that new employees usually handle," he said.
Jo Aram also put a lot of effort into researching the details and facial expressions to make them look natural when depicting the emotional changes of Yoon Seo Jin's character. "I think viewers will have fun watching the part where the audit team uses cool and unique methods to catch criminals who are trying to commit embezzlement.
