Actor Kim Byung Chul is preparing for the broadcast of his latest Korean drama entitled ' Perfect Family '. Adapted from a popular webtoon, 'Perfect Family' carries the mystery thriller genre that tells the story of a happy family who begins to suspect each other after their daughter is involved in a murder case.
Kim Byung Chul plays Choi Jin Hyuk, a lawyer who has an adopted daughter named Choi Sun Hee (played by Park Ju Hyun) whom he loves very much. He is even willing to change professions to protect his daughter. Kim Byung Chul also honestly revealed the reasons why he was interested in the drama 'Perfect Family'.
"I was intrigued by the plot and was eager to see how the story would unfold when I read the script. The script's ability to maintain excitement and suspense was very appealing," said Kim Byung Chul as quoted by Soompi on July 19, 2024.
He added, “I am eager to see how the mysterious atmosphere of the script will be translated onto the screen.” Regarding his character, Kim Byung Chul explained that Choi Jin Hyuk is the head of a family who seems perfect to everyone, but he slowly changes when faced with a big problem.
"I found the transformation process really interesting. I approached the role with what she wanted in mind and the influences she was receiving and giving in her complex relationships with the different people in her life," he added. Acting with actress Yoon Se Ah, Kim Byung Chul admitted to feeling happy and comfortable.
Previously, they had collaborated in the drama 'Sky Castle'. “Yoon Se Ah, who reunited with me as an on-screen couple, always brought positive energy to the set, which had a good influence on me and contributed to a smooth and successful filming experience,” said Kim Byung Chul.
The audience is also really looking forward to the chemistry between this couple when they play a married couple in 'Perfect Family'. Meanwhile, the Korean drama 'Perfect Family' is scheduled to premiere on August 14, 2024, every Wednesday and Thursday at 21:50 KST.
