The legendary demon hunter is set to return to action in the latest animated adaptation of Devil May Cry, coming soon to Netflix. Netflix has released the trailer and the release date. The latest Devil May Cry project has been running since September 2023 when Netflix announced that they were working on an animated series adapted from the popular game by Capcom.
The project involves Adi Shankar, an Indian-American producer best known for his work on the Castlevania series, along with Studio Mir and Japanese game developers. Netflix has now shared an official teaser trailer for the Devil May Cry series, which will air in April 2025. In keeping with the Devil May Cry series, the trailer showcases Dante's spectacular action against humans and demons.
Not only will it feature familiar characters from the game, but it will also feature elements from outside of video games. At the end of the trailer, there is a mysterious figure in the form of a white rabbit that appears to be waiting for the opening of the gates of hell. This White Rabbit character comes from the manga Devil May Cry 3.
The first season of Devil May Cry will consist of 8 episodes. Alex Larsen, who previously worked on Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, was appointed as the story writer.
