The remake of the Yaiba anime titled Shin Samurai-den YAIBA recently released a teaser visual and trailer. From the short clip, it was revealed that WIT Studio is working on the production of the series. Along with this news, the official team also announced a list of the main cast and staff who will be involved in the series .

The Yaiba anime series is adapted from a manga by Gosho Aoyama that was published in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1988 to 1993 with a total of 24 tankobon volumes. This will be the second anime adaptation after the 52-episode Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba series aired in Japan during 1993 to 1994.

The trailer or also called promotional video (PV) highlights the main character of the Yaiba anime with modern-style animation quality. In this short video, the main hero is seen in action while swinging his sword. The PV also features the voices of Yaiba Kurogane, Sayaka Mine, and Takeshi Onimaru. Minami Takayama reprises her role as Yaiba Kurogane, while Manaka Iwami voices Sayaka Mine. 

Yoshimasa Hosoya stars as Takeshi Onimaru in this samurai-themed anime. Yoshimichi Kameda is in charge of character designer and chief animation director, while Takeshi Maenami serves as sub-character designer and chief animator. For the music, Yutaka Yamada and Yoshiaki Dewa will be composing, with Haru Yamada as sound director. 

Maiko Okada also joined as a producer for the anime. The response from the anime's production team is also available on the official website. Hasui-san feels that a solid team has been formed to work on this adaptation, and he asked fans to look forward to the series with enthusiasm. Kameda-san also feels honored to be a part of this franchise. 

The anime's story follows the journey of Yaiba Kurogane, a young samurai warrior, who returns to Japan after undergoing long training with his father in the forest. There he meets his rival, Takeshi Onimaru, again and engages in a fierce battle. An exciting adventure begins when Takeshi manages to obtain the legendary sword, the Demon Blade.
