The first poster for the fourth Fear Street film titled Fear Street: Prom Queen has been officially launched. Netflix also confirmed the release schedule for this horror sequel and gave a little teaser regarding the story that will be carried.

Netflix previously released the Fear Street trilogy in July 2021, adapted from a series of novels by RL Stine with interconnected storylines. In January 2024, R.L. Stine announced that the next book would be based on Prom Queen , the 15th book in the series. The new film was also confirmed as a standalone sequel separate from the original trilogy.

Netflix has released the first poster for Fear Street: Prom Queen, confirming the horror sequel's 2025 release date. The poster brings back the Shadyside High setting from the previous trilogy, with a sign that reads Senior Prom '88.

However, the board is covered in bloodstains, and there is an axe nearby. The dark and foggy surroundings further emphasize the eerie atmosphere that will envelop the story in this sequel. The Fear Street: Prom Queen film will tell the story of a group of girls preparing to compete to become prom queen at the 1988 Shadyside High dance.

However, one candidate suddenly appears as a mysterious favorite, just as several girls begin to disappear one by one. While the trilogy was directed and co-written by Leigh Janiak, Prom Queen will be helmed by Matt Palmer, who is also collaborating with Donald McLeary as a scriptwriter.

The cast of the latest Fear Street film includes a number of names, starting from India Fowler (The Nevers), Suzanna Son (Red Rocket), Fina Strazza (Paper Girls), David Iacono (Dead Boy Detectives), and Ella Ruben (The Idea of You).

In addition, the other cast members also feature Chris Klein (The Flash), Ariana Greenblatt (Ahsoka), Lili Taylor (The Conjuring), and Katherine Waterston (Perry Mason). Since the story of this film is set in the middle of the Fear Street timeline, it is possible that some characters from previous films will reappear to strengthen the connection of this story to the Fear Street universe.
