BIGBANG member, G-Dragon, recently received praise from the social media public after being caught collaborating with a Palestinian label on his latest single titled POWER. Reported by Koreaboo, G-Dragon collaborated with an independent label called EMPIRE to work on his latest single. 

EMPIRE is a label founded by Ghazi Shami, a Palestinian businessman who consistently speaks out against Israel's brutal attacks on the Palestinian people, especially its aggression against the Gaza Strip. K-pop fans across fandoms have since applauded G-Dragon’s decision to share his visibility and platform with an outspoken Palestinian business owner amid growing rejection of Palestinian voices in the global environment.

In the past year, as Israel's attacks on Palestine have become increasingly violent, K-pop fans have continued to vocally criticize Zionism and the growing influence of Zionists in the entertainment industry. Therefore, G-Dragon's decision to sign with EMPIRE immediately became the talk of the town and caught the attention of netizens.

The musician whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong officially made a comeback with the release of his latest single titled POWER on Thursday October 31, 2024. POWER is the comeback of the BIGBANG leader after a hiatus of releasing solo projects for the past 7 years. The song POWER is also G-Dragon's first project under his new agency, Galaxy Corporation. 

G-Dragon's solo comeback has been long awaited by K-pop fans. Rumors of the comeback often appear every year. The agency said the musician will also do various promotional activities on a global scale.G-Dragon is also said to have other new activities in Japan as part of the promotion for his comeback. "G-Dragon will be making a comeback in the second half of this year. 

After his comeback, he will be carrying out global activities, while activities in Japan are also scheduled to be part of the series," said the agency, reported News1 via Naver on Wednesday March 4, 2024. This latest comeback will be G-Dragon's latest release since his last mini album titled Kwon Ji-yong seven years ago. His last mini album consisted of five songs, including Untitled.
