Talented young actress, Shenina Cinnamon, returns to present her stunning acting quality in the film Tale of the Land. Production house KawanKawan Media announced Shenina's achievements at the Philippine film festival, on Thursday November 14, 2024.

Tale of the Land itself is the latest film starring Shenina Cinnamon. Directed by Loeloe Hendra and also starring Arswendy Bening Swara, Yusuf Mahardika, Angga Yunanda, and Bagus Ade Saputra. The film premiered at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in the New Current program.
In addition, the film set in Kutai, East Kalimantan, won The Fipresci Prize by the Busan Vision Awards at the prestigious South Korean film festival. Tale of the Land tells the story of a conflict in a traditional land in Kalimantan a decade ago. The conflict left deep trauma for a Dayak girl named May (Shenina Cinnamon).
At that time, an old man named Tuha (Arswendy Bening Swara) saved May from the massacre and took her to a mercy house on the water. Although she survived, May's life was no longer the same. Memories of the violence continued to haunt her and she experienced a strange syndrome. May always fainted every time she tried to set foot on land.
Shenina's career skyrocketed after starring in Penyalin Cahaya (2021). The film was her debut as the main character named Suryani. Her acting in the film was nominated for the 2021 Citra FFI Cup in the Best Female Leading Actor category. After that, acting offers continued to come in.
She was again chosen as the main actress in several films, such as Cross the Line (2022), Dear David (2023), Onde Mande! (2024), Do You See What I See (2024), and Tale of the Land. Tale of the Land has been screened at various film festivals. Until now, there has been no news regarding the schedule for showing this film in Indonesian cinemas.
