Check In Hanyang is Channel A's latest Korean drama that stars Bae In Hyuk as one of its main players. Ahead of its release, the production team has shared a sneak peek of the character he will play. This Korean drama is set in the Joseon era and carries the historical romance genre.
Check In Hanyang depicts the growth and love stories of young men who join as interns at Yongcheonlu, the largest inn in Joseon. In this drama, Bae In Hyuk plays Prince Lee Eun, the king's son who has great power. However, he hides his identity and joins Yongcheonlu under the name Lee Eun Ho.
The drama will explore why he chooses to hide his true identity and how he adjusts to life as a trainee at the academy while secretly living as the king's son. The newly released photos via Channel A's Instagram, @channela_insta show a stark contrast between Lee Eun's royal personality and her hidden identity, Lee Eun Ho.
The images highlight the dramatic shift from her life in the palace to her new role as a trainee at Yongcheonlu, which resembles that of a hotelier. The first photo shows the charisma of Prince Lee Eun. Born with royal blood, he must remain vigilant to survive the constant power struggles in the palace.
His expressionless face shows his strong and commanding presence. In the next picture, Lee Eun hides his identity when joining Yongcheonlu under the name Lee Eun Ho. Amidst the commotion of fellow trainees changing clothes, Lee Eun Ho stood apart, attracting all the attention.
Unlike the stoic Prince Lee Eun, Lee Eun Ho openly shows his confusion in this new environment. The ending still shows Lee Eun Ho carefully trying to sew, very aware of the people around him. Growing up as the son of a king, this was a new experience for him. His attempts to adapt to Yongcheonlu, even by sewing, added a touch of humor.
The production team praised Bae In Hyuk for his nuanced performance, capturing both the tense political struggles of Prince Lee Eun and the comedic challenges Lee Eun Ho faces as he adjusts to life in Yongcheonlu. The production team said, “Bae In Hyuk perfectly portrayed the contrasting roles of Prince Lee Eun and trainee Lee Eun Ho, making the drama even more interesting.
His detailed appearance, which was already seen in the photos, will have an even greater impact when it airs,” as quoted by Soompi on November 19, 2024. They added, “The palace power struggle and Lee Eun Ho’s adjustment to life in Yongcheonlu will offer a variety of entertainment, so we ask viewers to look forward to it.”
Check In Hanyang is Bae In Hyuk's second drama to air in 2024 after starring in The Story Of Par's Marriage Contract, besides that, the actor born in 1998 has been known for his stunning acting in several hit dramas, such as Cheer Up, My Roommate is a Gumiho, and many others. Meanwhile, Check in Hanyang will premiere on December 21, 2024 at 7:50 p.m. KST.
