Harbin Film announces its premiere schedule. This film starring Hyun Bin will be shown in cinemas starting December 25, 2024. The film Harbin is set in Korea in the 1900s, when Japan forced their country to agree to the Eulsa Treaty.
At that time, Korea's diplomatic rights were taken away, and it became a Japanese colony. In 1909, the Korean Righteousness Army militia under Ahn Jung Geun launched an armed resistance campaign against Japan. They planned to assassinate the first Japanese Resident General in Korea, Ito Hirobumi.
Apart from Hyun Bin, the film Harbin also features famous actors, such as Lee Dong Wook, Jeon Yeo Bin, Park Jung Min, Cho Woo Jin, Park Hoon and Yoo Jae Myung. Harbin is directed by Woo Min Ho, director of The Man Standing Next and Inside Men.
The film was shot by Parasite cinematographer Hong Kyeong-pyo. Previously, the film Harbin was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8, 2024 and received praise from international film critics.
The broadcast of Harbin at that time also received support from Son Ye Jin, Hyun Bin's wife. "Since she is also an actress, her understanding and support means a lot to me, and I am grateful for that," Hyun Bin said in his interview.
