On Monday December 2, 2024, Dispatch reported that former Min Hee Jin, former CEO of ADOR was seen meeting with Chairman A, the real owner of Dabolink. This "secret" meeting reportedly took place last September. The information obtained by Dispatch is in contrast to Hee Jin's previous statement which strongly denied the investment rumors.
According to the report, Hee Jin, who is also the former boss of NewJeans, met Chairman A through an introduction by Mr. B, the uncle of one of the NewJeans members. Hee Jin, Chairman A, and Mr. B met together and talked for over 3 hours at Chairman A's house.
Chairman A said that during the meeting, Hee Jin said, "Can I take NewJeans out?" Chairman A also added, "It seems like former CEO Min is already preparing to leave HYBE," and "Mr. B contacted me first and asked if he could invest about 5 billion won in Min Hee Jin."
Mr. B was later named as a candidate for Dabolink's internal director, but when Hee Jin denied meeting with Dabolink, Chairman A crossed Mr. B off the list. Chairman A told Dispatch that he had not been contacted since Hee Jin came to his house to meet him that time. He stated, "This is the first time I've been trolled like this."
Some people suspect manipulation, because when Hee Jin met with Chairman A, the former CEO was still serving as an internal director at ADOR. Of course, this must be investigated further. Because if it is true, then Hee Jin can be said to be lying about her statement that she did not receive investment from any party.
Meanwhile, on November 5, Hee Jin firmly denied rumors about her receiving investments from multiple companies. She stated, "I heard rumors circulating in the investment industry that I 'decided to receive investment from someone' and 'decided to sign a contract with someone.'
I also heard that a certain company name was mentioned, but I want to clarify that this is completely untrue." Hee Jin emphasized that, "I am speaking out to prevent potential harm to innocent parties and to prevent HYBE from becoming the target of further disputes due to these false rumors.
Please understand that my intention is to stop these rumors at their source." On the other hand, NewJeans held an emergency press conference on November 28 to announce the termination of its exclusive contracts with HYBE and ADOR. During the meeting, NewJeans said that they want to work with their former CEO, Hee Jin.
"The reason we are leaving ADOR is very simple. ADOR has no desire or ability to protect NewJeans. We are currently in the process of completing our previous schedules, and if possible, we still want to continue working with Min Hee Jin," said the five members of NewJeans.
Due to the big decision taken by the members, they are threatened to no longer be able to use the name NewJeans. Even so, Danielle and friends admitted that they will continue to fight for the name. Because, it is not just a name, but the title NewJeans has become their soul and the fans.
