Yoo Ah In reportedly successfully sold the luxury house he once showed off on MBC's "I Live Alone". According to a report from the real estate industry on December 2, 2024, the actor sold his property in Itaewon last month for 6.3 billion won.

Initially, Ah In reportedly hoped to sell it for 8 billion won. However, the final price he agreed to was 6.3 billion won. Many were quite shocked by this news considering that Ah In seemed to like the residence when he appeared on "I Live Alone" in 2020.

Previously, Ah In purchased a three-story standalone house (with a basement, covering a land area of 337㎡ and a total floor area of 418.26㎡) in February 2016 for 5.8 billion KRW under his personal agency name YU Company LLC.

The house became a topic of interest when it aired on "I Live Alone." After the broadcast, Ah In moved to Hannam-dong. Three years ago, amid allegations of drug use, he sold the property in Itaewon-dong, reportedly asking for 8 billion won. The house was confirmed to have been sold on November 20, 2024.

The price was about 1.7 billion won lower than the initial asking price, indicating that it was a rushed sale. However, since the ownership transfer documents have not been filed with the court, the identity of the buyer is still unknown. It was also revealed that the property was sold as a “violating building.”

According to the building ledger, Ah In had illegally expanded 10.8㎡ on the first floor by installing windows, which was flagged during an on-site inspection by the Yongsan-gu Office in August 2017. Despite being given a repair order, Ah In's agency has not restored the building to its original condition for more than seven years.

The new owner must pay a fine or carry out the necessary restoration. Meanwhile, Ah In is still facing charges of illegal drug use. The second appeal hearing for the case took place on November 19, 2024, and his legal team opposed prosecutors' push for a harsher sentence.

They stated, "The marijuana use in Los Angeles was out of curiosity during a trip, not part of a planned drug use. As an actor, Yoo Ahn In often undergoes cosmetic procedures to maintain his appearance, which requires propofol for sedation.

" The legal team also mentioned the recent passing of his father and stressed that this was Ah In's first violation of his sentence relief request. The next hearing is set for December 24, 2024, when the trial is expected to end.
