Riku will return to activities with NCT WISH after a four-month hiatus. SM Entertainment as the agency that oversees the NCT sub-unit announced this good news. “Riku, who paused his activities due to health reasons, is focusing on rest and recovery.

We hereby announce that his condition is recovering,” SM Entertainment said on Monday, February 3, 2025. “Based on Riku's strong desire to resume activities and the advice of medical professionals, we have decided to resume activities,” he said.

February has just begun, but the agency explained that Riku will only be able to join in March with their first concert tour. “The activities planned for February will be carried out with five members - Sion, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya,” the agency explained.

“Riku will greet fans starting in March 2025, starting with NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in 2025 and contribute with a new album scheduled for release in the first half of this year, along with related activities,” he said.

"We sincerely thank the fans who showed support for Riku. We also ensure that Riku can start activities in good condition," the agency said. Previously, the agency did not specifically explain Riku's health condition.

They said his condition was getting worse so he needed to rest.  On the other hand, NCT WISH will start their first concert tour this year. Starting from Seoul on March 21, 2025 before continuing to Macau, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Indonesia, and Thailand.
