Ahn Jae Hyun shared his experience of having a traffic accident that changed his life. In the latest video released on April 2, 2025, the South Korean model and actor is seen chatting with Kwak Bum on Lee Guk Joo's YouTube channel.
Ahn Jae Hyun revealed shocking details about the accident and how it affected his career. The actor shared that when he was young, his only dream was to become a rich father. "I thought as long as I could make money from work, I didn't care what I did," Jae Hyun confessed.
However, things changed drastically when the star of "The Real Has Come" was only 20 years old. He had a pretty bad accident. "I had a traffic accident. I was sitting in the passenger seat of a taxi and was involved in a side-impact accident. I broke two ribs, and when I woke up, there was a tube in me.
My lung was ruptured," he recalled. The accident left Jae Hyun hospitalized for six months. During that time, the "Love With Flaws" star had a lot of time to reflect. "I really objectified myself and thought, 'What is your job?'," he said.
Ahn Jae Hyun realized that his looks might not be enough to make a career in the entertainment industry. "I thought I couldn't be an actor or a singer, but since I'm tall and my face is like this, maybe I can try modeling," the actor continued.
However, Ahn Jae Hyun's dream of becoming a model did not go according to plan. "As soon as I got out of the military, I entered a modeling academy. Out of 20 men, 10 were chosen, but I didn't even pass the first round. Later, when I asked the staff, they said I looked old-fashioned," he shared.
On the other hand, Ahn Jae Hyun has completely moved on from his failed marriage with Ku Hye Sun. Some time ago, the actor hinted at his desire to remarry. "Check my score at the matchmaking agency. Get a health check," the actor revealed. Jae Hyun also did not hesitate to convey his second wedding dream.
"Rather than inviting everyone I know, I will only invite a few close friends to attend the wedding in a place like Hawaii or Guam," he said. Ahn Jae Hyun further said, "I went on a trip to Guam, and I saw friends throwing flowers. I thought it looked really beautiful. Yeah, just a small, close group like that..."
