Actor Ahn Jae Hyun is currently struggling to recover his financial condition. Like it or not, Ahn Jae Hyun has to make major changes to his lifestyle. From what used to be luxurious, Jae Hyun is now starting to live simply.
On his YouTube channel, Ahn Jae Hyun admitted that he no longer drives a Porsche and replaced it with a compact car. "I've driven a lot of supercars because of my role, but the Porsche is my favorite. I'd love to drive it again one day," he said.
"It was tough (adjusting to move down). Of course, I still dream of driving my dream car. But honestly, I'm driving this car now because it suits my financial situation." Ahn Jae Hyun also admitted that he is enthusiastic about taking care of the compact car he drives himself.
He even replaced his car's AC filter himself. "At some point, the car starts to smell. It's a good idea to change the air filter regularly even outside of summer, it helps maintain air quality and filters out fine dust," Ahn Jae Hyun said, recalling the first time he changed his car's AC filter.
Previously, Ahn Jae Hyun tended to be relaxed about finances because he felt he could make a lot of money. "I thought as long as I could make money from work, I didn't care what I did," he said. However, he had a pretty bad accident that left him unable to work for a while.
This is because Ahn Jae Hyun had to be hospitalized for 6 months due to the accident. "I had a car accident. I was sitting in the passenger seat of a taxi and I got into a side-impact accident. I broke two ribs, and when I woke up, there was a tube in me. My lung had burst," he recalled.
"I really objectified myself and thought, 'What do you do for a living?'" Ahn Jae Hyun also shared his struggle to become a model. In the past, he didn't feel like he could be an actor or a singer. Because of that, Ahn Jae Hyun intended to pursue a career as a model. However, he was wrong.
Even though he was handsome, he was considered too old-fashioned to be a model. "I thought I couldn't be an actor or a singer, but since I'm tall and my face is like this, maybe I could try modeling," he said. "As soon as I got out of the military, I entered a modeling academy.
Out of 20 guys, 10 were chosen, but I didn't even make it through the first round. Later, when I asked the staff, they said I looked old-fashioned." In addition to finances and career, Ahn Jae Hyun also discussed plans to remarry someday. "That's because I have one.
Rather than inviting everyone I know, I'm going to invite just a few close friends to a wedding in a place like Hawaii or Guam. I went on a trip to Guam, and I saw friends throwing flowers. I thought it looked really beautiful. Yeah, just a small, close group like that," Ahn Jae Hyun exclaimed.
