Reports of Jin’s sightings spread across online communities on Thursday April 3, 2025. On this day, Jin was seen volunteering at Gilan Middle School in Andong City, where he helped with meal distribution.
According to reports, Jin wore a black cap, a mask and a gray apron while serving food. He was also seen offering warm words of encouragement to the residents. One resident shared, “He didn’t try to stand out among the other volunteers—he just worked hard.”
They praised Jin for his sincere dedication to the volunteer work. It was reported that Jin quietly visited Andong out of a desire to extend a helping hand to an area severely affected by wildfires.
The location where Jin volunteered is also a site where Theborn Korea, led by CEO Baek Jong Won, set up a free meal service. Baek Jong Won visited Andong to comfort wildfire victims and personally took part in on-site cooking and meal distribution on March 28, 2025.
Since then, he has been providing freshly prepared meals to wildfire victims, as well as to military, police and firefighting personnel involved in firefighting efforts. Previously, Baek Jong Won stated, “I hope that a warm meal can offer even a little comfort to those who lost their homes and are struggling due to the wildfires.”
Other BTS members also contributed to wildfire recovery efforts through donations. Jungkook donated 1 billion KRW, while V contributed 200 million KRW. RM, J-Hope and Suga each donated 100 million KRW.
