Park Hyung Sik revealed that he was bullied during his idol trainee days. The former ZE:A member guested on the April 2, 2025 episode of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block. During the show, Park Hyung Sik reflected on his early days as an idol trainee, saying, “Before debuting with ZE:A, I was briefly with another company.
They scouted me after seeing me at a band performance. Since there were trainees who had passed auditions to get in, I might have seemed like I got in through connections. As a result, the other trainees distanced themselves from me.”
He recalled going through a difficult time at that company. “Everyone was competing, forming tight-knit groups and even excluding or isolating certain people on purpose,” he continued. “I thought that was just how things were. So, I believed that as long as I focused on improving myself, I’d be fine.
I practiced alone, thinking that skill was the only thing that mattered.” However, his loneliness faded when he joined a new company. Park Hyung Sik shared, “When I started at ZE:A’s company, I would just sit in a room singing by myself.
But the older members came to me and said, ‘Let’s eat together,’ pulling me out. They brought me out of the shadows and into the light. We ate together, joked around, and they helped me open up.” He expressed his gratitude for their warmth and support.
