Son Suk Ku makes a comeback with the latest Korean drama titled 'Heavenly Ever After'. Fans are invited to follow his love story and senior actress Kim Hye Ja as a married couple who meet again in Heaven. Although it contains onions and makes the audience cry, Heavenly Ever After still presents a comedy spice.
The first episode of the Korean drama Heavenly Ever After premiered on Saturday April 19, 2025. This drama is a reunion for Son Suk Ku and director Kim Suk Yoon, who worked on My Liberation Notes (2021). In addition, there are three Korean drama Our Blues actors who are reunited in the Heavenly Ever After project.

Heavenly Ever After follows the story of Lee Hae Sook (played by Kim Hye Ja), an elderly woman who loses her husband in an accident. When the time comes to be called by the Almighty, Lee Hae Sook chooses to remain looking her 80s, rather than having the chance to be young again.
Lee Hae Sook made the choice without thinking because she remembered what her husband said. She was considered beautiful at a young age, but most beautiful in her old age. How surprised Lee Hae Sook was when she met her husband Ko Nak Joon (played by Son Suk Ku) who looked as young as 30 years old.
The woman turns out to be the only person who does not return to youth in heaven. Meanwhile, Ko Nak Joon faithfully waits for Lee Hae Sook in heaven and builds a beautiful house for them to live in. He works as a postman, who delivers letters of hope from earth.
Korean drama Heavenly Ever After viewers will see Lee Hae Sook's meeting with Young Ae (played by Lee Jung Eun), a woman who makes her feel guilty for leaving her. There is also So Mi (played by Han Ji Min), a mysterious woman who has lost her memory and only remembers the name of Hae Sook's husband, Nak Joon.
