tvN's latest Korean drama, Our Unwritten Seoul, has shared a sneak peek of the character that will be played by GOT7's Jinyoung ahead of its premiere. Our Unwritten Seoul is a romance drama about twin sisters who live very different lives.
After switching identities through a web of lies, they embark on a journey to find true love and the meaning of life. In this drama, Jinyoung plays Lee Ho Su, a top lawyer at a large law firm. With his good looks and impressive skills, he seems to have it all. Lee Ho Su is kind and wise, careful with his words, and respectful of others.
But behind his perfect appearance, he struggles every day to live a simple and normal life. In the midst of his busy life, Lee Ho Su's quiet world is shaken by an unexpected encounter. Questions arise about what has disrupted his routine—and how he will handle the sudden emotional upheaval.
Expectations are high for Jinyoung as he takes on the complex role of Lee Ho Su. Reflecting on what drew him to the project, Jinyoung said, "When I read the script, I saw how the characters try to live their lives while hiding deep emotional wounds.
It felt very similar to real life," as quoted by Soompi on Tuesday April 22, 2025. He added, “I was very curious about how I could bring a character like Ho Su to life, and that curiosity is what made me choose this project.”
Additionally, Jinyoung described Lee Ho Su as "a character who feels like he's going through adolescence before becoming an adult. He hides his pain rather than showing it and works hard not to hurt others. That sincerity is what makes Ho Su an appealing character."
The actor added, "Although Ho Su has a lot of lines, I want viewers to remember him as a quiet and reserved person. I tried hard to speak slowly and deliver my lines at a steady pace to shape his character." His careful approach has sparked growing curiosity about how he will bring Lee Ho Su to life.
Finally, Jinyoung described the drama as “a story about Mi Ji (Park Bo Young) and Mi Rae (also played by Park Bo Young) who replace each other and grow together.” He added, “The suspense in which their secrets are almost revealed but remain hidden is probably the biggest attraction of ‘Our Unwritten Seoul.'”
This has sparked interest in how the relationship between siblings Yoo Mi Ji and Yoo Mi Rae with Lee Ho Su will unfold. GOT7's Jinyoung started his career in the entertainment world through acting in 2012, debuting as a supporting actor in the Korean drama Dream High 2.
Even though he had played in the drama, he did not immediately get the main role. He often stars in hit dramas as a supporting role, such as The Legend of the Blue Sea to When My Love Blooms. His name rose after starring in the Korean drama The Devil Judge to Yum's Cell, where he got the main role.
